WHINK Paint Remover has assisted many porcelain artists and china painters to correct or remove the fired paint from glazed porcelain. It is known as a "rust remover" but we have found it works very well for removing paint.
CAUTION when using WHINK: do NOT get it on your skin and use it with water close at hand and with good ventilation. Wear heavy duty household gloves and follow the package instructions very carefully. You can apply with a cue-tip cotton swab. Once the paint starts coming off, it can happen very quickly. Stop the reaction in water. It can remove the entire glaze from porcelain if you are not careful.
